During NSv registration after fresh deployments or upgrades of existing NSv firewalls to SonicOS/X 7.0.1, you are prompted to choose Classic or Policy mode.
The specific use cases where this applies are:
Choosing Classic Mode will cause the NSv to boot up running SonicOS 7.0.1 with the SonicOS features.
Choosing Policy Mode will cause the NSv to boot up running SonicOSX 7.0.1 with the SonicOSX features.
When upgrading an NSv from SonicOS 6.5.4.v to SonicOS 7.0.1 (Classic mode) using the SWI file, the supported features are on par with a SonicWall TZ or NSa running SonicOS 7.0.1, except that the following are not supported on NSv:
After upgrading your NSv from SonicOS 6.5.4.v to SonicOS 7.0.1, you will need to register it using the new (7.0) serial number.
