Modern Workplace Overview

When you start Modern Workplace, the home page displays any shortcuts that your administrator has configured for you. You can click these links for direct access to Web content, applications, or shared folders and files. Some elements, such as the Network Explorer page, personal bookmarks, or the Intranet Address box, may not be available depending on how the home page is configured.

The Modern Workplace is currently not supported in IE browser.

The SonicWall Secure Mobile Access user interface for the Modern Workplace has been updated to the new SonicWall user interface appearance. This new appearance not only provides a new look and feel, but also provides improved navigation capabilities—including the ability to expand and collapse the navigation menus. In addition, the Modern Workplace Portal user interface design is compatible with mobile devices.

The Modern Workplace home page includes connection status information indicating which access methods are currently enabled. To view that, hover on lock icon on the top right corner. To view the session start time, click the Logged In User > Details.

Depending on how your administrator has configured the Modern Workplace and how you connect to the network, the home page may include a Personal Bookmarks area that enables you to save and access your own collection of links to URLs and other resources, such as file shares. To manage your bookmarks, hover on the bookmark which you want to edit and click. For more information, see Using Bookmarks.

The Modern Workplace currently does not support customizing layouts.
