Acquiring Firewalls through Zero Touch Method

Make sure that:

  • The firewall is reset to factory defaults.
  • WAN IP and DNS IP are configured on the firewall under Device > Diagnostics > Check Network Settings > IPv4 tab.
  • MySonicWall/Unified Management and License manager are reachable. You can check under Device > Diagnostics > Check Network Settings > IPv4 tab.

Acquiring a firewall through ZT acquisition method

  1. Configure the Zero Touch server according to Configuring the Zero Touch Server.
  2. Assign NSM for Zero Touch Management according to Assigning NSM for Zero Touch Management.
  3. Enable Zero touch according to Enabling Zero Touch.
  4. Login to your NSM account.
  5. Navigate to Manager View | Home > Firewalls > Inventory page.

  6. Click Refresh.

    You can see the device listed in the table. Click the Caret icon to see the ZT connectivity status.

If the device is not set to factory defaults, Synchronize the license on the firewall console on the Device > Settings > Licenses page.
