SonicWall Mobile Connect for Android is an app that enables Android and ChromeOS devices to establish secure, mobile connections to private networks protected by SonicWall security appliances.

Compatibility and Installation Notes

• Android Product Support: SonicWall Mobile Connect 5.0.24 for Android requires Android versions:
  • 11.x or higher.

  SonicWall Appliance Support: SonicWall Mobile Connect 5.0.24 for Android is a free app, but requires a concurrent license on one of the following SonicWall solutions to function properly:

  • SonicWall firewall appliances, including the TZ, NSa, NSA, and SuperMassive series running SonicOS 6.5.4 or higher. This includes SonicWall Gen7 TZ firewalls running SonicOS 7 and Gen8 TZ (only for TZ80) firewalls running SonicOS 8.

  • Secure Mobile Access (SMA) 100 Series appliances running 10.2.1 or higher.

  • Secure Mobile Access (SMA) 1000 Series appliances running 12.4.3 or higher.

• Mobile Connect Android supports SAML authentication when connecting to the firewall.

MC-947	Mobile Connect Android and iOS mobile device users are experiencing issues after submitting their SAML credentials. They are unable to retrieve the token.
MC-960	An Android tablet cannot connect to the internet when it uses a proxy server with Mobile Connect.
