Release Notes

SonicWall created the SonicWall Migration Tool to help users convert firewall settings from an existing SonicOS 5.9.x onwards firmware (SOHO only) and SonicOS 6.5.x firewall, enabling the creation of a new settings file that can easily be imported into a SonicOS 7 firewall. This tool can also be used to migrate setting from other third-party devices based on the compatibility. These Release Notes provide information about the SonicWall Migration Tool release.

The Migration Tool does not support migrations from SonicOS 6 to SonicOS 8, or from SonicOS 7 to SonicOS 8. For migrations to SonicOS 8, refer to the SonicOS 8 Migration Requirements Reference Guide.
