User level allowed list on SonicWall Email Security

Description

The policy to allow or block emails has been triggered for the emails on which the sender's email address is not matching the Global allowed or blocked list. For example, a policy filter to allow or block emails for Anti-Spam address books lists has been triggered on an unknown sender's email and marked the email with the Policy name.

In these cases, there are possibilities of the sender's email being listed in the User level address books.

Follow the below steps to check that.

  • Login to Email security
  • Navigate to MANAGE |System Setup |Users, Groups and Organizations Image
  • Search for the user
  • Select the user and click on Sign in as User
    Image
  • You will be redirected to User's Management interface
  • Then go to Security Services | Anti-Spam | Address BooksImage
  • And check if the sender's email on which the policy has been triggered is listed.
  • If it is not listed, then please contact SonicWall technical support.
