SMA100: Max node supported on SMA100 series product lines

Description

Max node supported on SMA100 Series product lines for the following models, the Table includes Node count + Spike Licenses.

  • SMA200
  • SMA210
  • SMA400
  • SMA410
  • SMA500v

Cause

Max node count supported including spike licenses on SMA models.

Resolution

Here is the latest support Matrix supported with latest Firmware versions : 9.0.0.7 & 10.2.0.1 & Onwards.

NOTE: This is hard limit which SonicWall recommended for the above hardwares. Increase in node count might lead to performance issues. 

NOTE: SMA500v : Recommended to use 4 vCore CPU's and 8gb/16gb of RAM for better usability and performance. However, on hardware appliances we cannot increase the memory and RAM. Please refer to the hardware specifications.


EXAMPLE1: SMA200/210 : Node count purchased 30, then customer can purchase up to 20 Spike licenses. Total maximum 50 licenses supported.

EXAMPLE2:SMA400/410/500v : Node count purchased 150, then customer can purchase up to 100 spike licenses. Total maximum 250 licenses supported.


NOTE: SMA210 : Will support 200 users including Node Count + Spike licenses, Version will be supported from 9.0.0.7 & 10.2.0.1 & onwards.

NOTE: SMA410: Will support 400 users including Node Count + Spike Licenses, Version will be supported from 9.0.0.7 & 10.2.0.1 & onwards.

NOTE: Once spike licenses is activated the admin must pause it before 24hrs else the license will be consumed. Please make sure to pause it.
