How to Download Tech Support Reports(TSR)from SonicWall GMS (Global Management System)and SonicWall Analyzer
This article explain, how to download Technical Support Reports (TSRs) from SonicWall GMS and SonicWall Analyzer software products. TSRs are required by SonicWall technical support engineers to fully investigate a customer reported issue on their SonicWall GMS and SonicWall Analyzer. This Knowledge Base uses a GMS with version 8.6 and the same procedure can be used in downloading the TSR from SonicWall Analyzer and previous versions of SonicWall GMS.
1. Logon to the SonicWall GMS with username and password via its management IP address and add appliance in the end, as show in the screenshot below: 172.27.76.99/appliance (by typing this will cause the GMS to automatically change the address to as shown below)
2. Once logged into the SonicWall GMS main page, click on System-->Diagnostics from the left hand side.
3. From the diagnostics page scroll down/up the page and make sure you only select TSR option and deselect others, as shown in the picture below:
4. Now with TSR option selected, go the right side and click on "Export Logs button:
Please note: It could take few minutes to generate the TSR report, so please allow this operation to complete and if a timeout occurs then you will be required to login back in and restart the operation. Please save the file in a folder and rename the folder as your SonicWall reference number and attach directly to your SonicWall case.
