How can I get root access to SMA100

Veaam backups are being popular to gather and automate scheduled VM backups , in cases of VM recovery.

To do a veaam backup of a running VM, root access of the VM is required.

There have been queries if SonicWall offers root access/password to SMA 100 (500v) appliances.

SonicWall does not provide root access to the SMA100 (500v).

NOTE: You cannot restore a 500v from a VM snapshot taken while the 500v is running. The appliance will be successfully restored from a VM snapshot taken while the 500v appliance is powered off.
