Capture Client MacOS Agent Compatibility with Apple versions 14.2, 13.6.3, and 12.7.2
Â
This is a playbook for conditions of the macOS operating system version changes and any macOS Agent version changes.
Trying to upgrade or downgrade your Capture Client MacOS Agent version will fail. If you try to uninstall the Agent, a dialog message shows to allow the process to administer the machine. If this action is not allowed, some files will remain on the disk.
We recommend you wait for an official Capture Client MacOS Agent Service Pack to be released to address this issue, before you upgrade to that macOS version. If the macOS version update has already been triggered, the supported Agent is expected to work and protect the endpoint. If you try to upgrade or downgrade the Agent version, it will fail. If you try to uninstall the Agent, a dialog message shows to allow the process to administer the machine. In this action is not allowed, some files will remain on the disk.
Any first-time installation on a macOS endpoint running macOS 14.2, 13.6.3, or 12.7.2 is possible with the GUI installer or with the command line interface. The end user will have to Allow the authorization request, otherwise the installation will fail. Please find the following Snapshot for details.
