How to deploy SMA100 series virtual appliance (SMA 500v) from one platform to another.

SMA 100 series virtual appliance (SMA 500v) is deployed on multiple platforms such as Hyper-V, ESXi, Azure, AWS. This article describes how can we deploy SMA 500v appliance from one platform to another.

Please follow the steps below for Contemporary mode :

1.  Navigate to SYSTEM > Settings.
   
   
2.  Click on Export. A local copy of the setting file will be saved on your computer.
   
   
   
   
3. Login to mysonicwall account using mysonicwall credentials.
   
   
4. Download VHD file for SMA500v for Hyper V from mysonicwall DOWNLOAD CENTER.
   
   
   
   
5. Deploy VHD file on Hyper V platform.
   
   
6. Import settings backup on the Hyper V platform.
   
   
   
   
7. Reset Licenses on SMA 500v ESXi.
   
   
8. Register the licenses on Hyper V.

1.  Navigate to SYSTEM > Settings.
   
   
2. Click on Export Settings. A local copy of the setting file will be saved on your computer.
   
   
   
   
3. Login to mysonicwall account.
   
   
4. Download VHD file for SMA500v for Hyper V from mysonicwall DOWNLOAD CENTER.
   
   
   
   
5. Deploy VHD file on Hyper V platform.
   
   
6. Import settings backup on the Hyper V platform.
   
   
7. Reset Licenses on SMA 500v ESXi.
   
   
8. Register the licenses on Hyper V.
