OAuth Social Login is supported on SonicWall firewalls with internal wireless and SonicPoint, in the scope of wireless zone guest services. Wireless guest services are widely used in public WiFi hotspots and corporate WiFi for guests. Facebook, Twitter, and Google Plus are supported in SonicOS 6.2.7. Within the SonicOS scope, social login is supported for wireless guests, not for SonicOS administrator login. Specific Social Authentication setup instructions and addtional information can be found by viewing the 6.2 Admin Guide.
NOTE: Read the Open Authentication Social login guidance from Facebook/Google/Twitter and SonicWall before enabling this feature.
Resolution
To enable social login in SonicOs:
- Go to Network | Zones | Edit the WLAN zone and click on the Guest Services tab.
- Select the Enable Guest Services and Enable External Guest Authentication
- Click Configure next to Enable External Guest Authentication checkbox.
- In the Social Network Login section on the General tab of the popup dialog
SonicOS automatically creates the necessary policies to allow the traffic between the authentication server and the user. A new Address Object group will be created with name Default Social login pass Group.
