- Question: Can we use a single SonicPoint/SonicWave as a WIDP sensor for a specific schedule?
Answer: Yes, you can assign a schedule for WIDP sensor.
- Question: How long does it takes for the SonicPoint/SonicWave to start building a rogue acess point list and does it interfear with the WIDP sensor schedule?
Answer: Sensor mode will keep on performing packet sniffer for rogue access points and will catch the client associated with the rogue access point on each channel periodically. The time also depends on if client active probe is enabled or not. IDS scan can return results in less than a minute. Rogue access points will be added as soon as results return.
- Question: Is the rogue access point list automatically flushed?
Answer: No the rouge access point list is not flushed automatically.
- Question: If a wireless device is connected to a rogue access point and the same is authorized will the clients associated with rogue access point be affected?
Answer: Clients associated to an authorized access point won't be blocked or affected.
