How to delete Junkbox /Auditing data in case it shows more emails than the number of days it is set for.
Resolution
Problem Definition:
Following are commands to delete Junkbox /Auditing data in case it shows more than the number of days it set for.
These commands will remove any old email from junkbox/Auditing and show emails for the number of day you keep the data for.
Resolution or Workaround:
Appliance only:
- Log into the CLI using Putty.
- Install “putty”- a telnet client from the internet ( you can download it from internet )
- Open putty and put in the IP address of Email security device and port “22”
- Login as : “snwlcli”
- Login: admin
- Password: (admin password that you use for logging in the WebUI)
- On the CLI prompt type the following commands
"runmlfclean" and then "rebuildsearchdb"
Example:
SNWLCLI:>runmlfclean
SNWLCLI:>rebuildsearchdb
Please note: rebuildsearchdb command will rebuild the webapps root (i.e. the web gui) as well as the SearchEngineRMI service.
This rebuilds the search engine database.
