Why is Java RDP bookmark no longer working on Chrome?

Description

Why is Java RDP bookmark no longer working on Chrome?

Resolution

Chrome version 42 and later is no longer allowing NPAPI by default, which is required for Java Bookmarks.
Furthermore, with Chrome 45, NPAPI will be completely removed.

We recommend using HTML5 Bookmarks on Chrome. If users need to use Java Bookmarks, they need to use other browsers that support Java.

Auto-launch for NetExtender will also fail when NPAPI is not supported.
If users have not downloaded net extender already, they can be directed to download from your MySonicwall account, or the MSI can be emailed to them directly

if Net Extender or Mobile Connect has already been installed on the computer. the user will need to run it directly, or launch it from a different browser.

We will look to improve this usability in the future.

For Chrome 42 you can enable this NPAPI by opening a chrome browser and typing this:

chrome://flags/#enable-npapi
Click on the "Enable" link.
