The RADIUS Attributes tab enables administrators to configure specific attributes that define how authenticated user sessions are handled within the network. These attributes allow the RADIUS server to dynamically enforce user-specific or group-specific policies, rather than relying solely on locally configured settings on the controller or firewall.
This feature is supported in SonicOS 8.2.2 and higher versions.
To configure RADIUS Attributes
On the RADIUS Configuration page, click the RADIUS Attributes tab.
Under the following sections, turn on the toggle for each attribute you want to use.
These attributes are used to control bandwidth allocation for authenticated users.
| Attribute | Description |
|---|---|
| WISPr Bandwidth Max Up | Defines the maximum upstream bandwidth allowed for the user session. |
| WISPr Bandwidth Max Down | Defines the maximum downstream bandwidth allowed for the user session. |
| Airspace Data Bandwidth Avg Contract | Applies a contracted average bandwidth policy for data traffic. |
| Airspace Real Time Bandwidth Avg Contract | Applies average bandwidth policy for real-time traffic. |
These attributes define how long a session can remain active, how much data can be used, and what service constraints apply.
| Attribute | Description |
|---|---|
| Session Octets Limit | Limits the total amount of data a user session can consume. |
| Octets Direction | Specifies which traffic direction is counted for octet-based limits. |
| Session Timeout Enable | Allows the RADIUS server to define the maximum session duration. |
| Idle Timeout Enable | Allows the RADIUS server to end sessions after inactivity. |
| WISPr Session Terminate Time | Ends the session at a defined termination time. |
| Real Time Service |
Associates a selected service object or group with the session policy.
