  2. Set the BIOS filed to SeaBIOS.

  3. Change the Machine field from i440fx to q35.

  4. Click Add > Unused Disk to import image from Importing NSv Disk Image.

    1. In the Bus/Device field, select VirtIO Block.

  5. Click Add to add one more Network Device.

  6. Verify the final configuration of Hardware.

Monitor the console for boot progress.

Please ensure to use a new OVMF_VARS.sw.fd file and a new OVMF_CODE_sw.fd file for each deployment. Otherwise, after the first boot, NSv may enter SafeMode.

If NSv enters SafeMode: From the SafeMode menu, choose Option 7: Wipe and install NSv. NSv will reboot and boot successfully.

The Reboot and Shutdown options for NSv in the Proxmox Manager UI are currently not functioning. For details on how to restart NSv on Proxmox platform, see Different ways to restart NSv on Proxmox platform.
