Issue with admin login to the firewall management page after enabling TOTP.

Description

You cannot access into the firewall management page after enabling TOTP for admin user.

Resolution


The TOTP option was enabled under Device | Settings | Administration

You then receive errors such as TOTP code is not received, QR code error, user and password login error, etc when attempting to log in.

1. It is possible to unbind the TOTP service running the below command from an ssh login. How to Unbind TOTP from Command Line Interface (CLI)?

 > configure  terminal
 > administration
 > admin unbind-totp
  > commit
 > end
 > exit

2. Make sure that time settings are synchronized correctly with the NTP server, and then re-enable the TOTP. For more reference please check below KB article. 2FA authentication error using TOTP "Please try again later"
