How to Install Capture Client in Ubuntu?

Description

This article describes step by step installation of Capture Client in Ubuntu.

Resolution

  • For Capture Client System requirement regarding Linux please click here: Capture Client System Requirements
  • Download the Capture client Linux installer from Capture Client Console.

Note:- If you download the Linux Capture client Installer in Windows endpoint, the file name will be SonicWall%20Capture%20Client.3.7.6.sh
            If you download the Linux Capture client Installer in Ubuntu endpoint, the file name will be SonicWall_20Capture_20Client.3.7.6.sh
  • Open the terminal in Ubuntu and run the below commands.
  • Navigate the path where the installer file is downloaded.
         >cd Downloads
         >chmod 777 SonicWall_20Capture_20Client.3.7.6.sh
         >sudo sh SonicWall_20Capture_20Client.3.7.6.sh
         >Enter the password.
  • The Capture Client will start installing.
  • We should see the message in the bottom "Activation complete. Your device is now Protected".Image
 
Note: In Linux we will not be able to see the Capture Client UI.
 
  • To validate what version of SentinelOne is installed run the command >sudo sentinelctl version
  • We should see the Sentinelone version as show below.

  • In Console we should be able to able to see the Ubuntu endpoint status, once successfully installed.Image
