How to forward syslog to another server

GMS has the capability to automatically forward syslogs to another server. This can be used, for example, to duplicate syslogs received by GMS to a third party server in order to generate a report or for archiving purpose.

1.    Login into /appliance interface of the GMS / Analyzer software: http://gms-ip/appliance/

2.    Access the techSupport.html screen by using the URL http://gms-ip/appliance/techSupport.html in the browser address bar. Following screen comes up – click Accept button

4.    Following Window appears. Enter valid values for syslog.forwardToHost and syslog.forwardToHostPort and then click Update button.

5.    Restart the Server/Appliance
