SSL-VPN

This feature supports SSL-VPN connections to SonicWall Secure Mobile Access SMA appliances and SonicWall firewalls, and it can be used with NX VPN or CT VPN.

When the SonicWave operates in standalone mode, the administrator can set up SSL-VPN options through the web management interface. The SonicWave wireless access point then launches an AvConnect client and control process to create a secure tunnel for wireless client access.

The SSL-VPN tab has the following sections

• Settings:

  • Click the SSL-VPN toggle to activate SSL-VPN support.

    

  • Enter the values for the options for SSL-VPN connection, including the VPN Type, Server Address, User Name, Password, and Domain.

    The maximum characters that can be entered for the above fields Server Address= 255, User Name=63, Password=63, and Domain=63

• Certificate:

  • From the Client Certificate drop-down list, select the certificate you want used for the policy.

• Others:

  • Click on Allow LAN2/LAN3/LAN4 SSL-VPN Security Tunnel Access toggle to allow SSL-VPN security tunnel access.

Click OK to save the configuration and return to the General screen.
