Dashboard

The Overview > Dashboard provides a global map that displays all of your Access Points and Switches deployment locations around the world.

• The deployment details, including the total number of devices and total traffic appear when you hover over each access point location on the map.

• The time slider tool at the top of the screen, can be used to adjust the time period displayed.

  Time Periods:

  You can select any of the following:

  • Last Day: Events that occurred in the past 24 hours
  • Last Week: Events that occurred within the past 7 days
  • Last 30 Days: Events that occurred within the past 30 days

Also, the time slider provides an option to filter the Access Points and Switches by locations.

The info-graphics below the time slider tool is click-able and will navigate you to the respective page:

• Click on Total Locations to navigate to Network > Network Hierarchy.

• Click on Total Access Points to navigate to Network > Devices > Access Points.

• Click on Total Clients (AP) to navigate to Network > Devices > Clients.

In the Top left corner of the map view, you will find the following three tabs.

• All: Selected by default, both the Access Points and Switches will be shown on the map view. The screen below displays the status of devices, including those that are online, offline, unmanaged, and those with expired licenses. The bottom section will display the Alert Center and Threat Center tabs.

• Access Points: When selected, only Access Points will display on the map view. The Access Points bar provides information about their status. The bottom section shows tabs for the Alert Center, Threat Center, Access Points, Clients, SSIDs, Zones, and Fingerprints.



• Switches: When selected, only Switches will display on the map view. The Switches bar provides information about their status. The bottom section shows tabs for the Alert Center, Threat Center, Switches, Traffic of Ports, PoE of Switches, and PoE of Switch Ports.

More information on the bottom section tabs are further explained below.

• Alert Center is the first of seven bars across the middle of the screen that can be clicked to display the traffic data summaries and visual overviews. When the main screen first comes up, Alert Center is active. Clicking the Alert Center bar lists the most recent alerts.

  

  The columns display Time, Priority, Device Name, Type (type of alerts), SubType (picked up by which type of security service, system, network, device status, DFS, switch etc.), and Source (the source access point).

• The Threat Center bar shows the same screen but with the most recent threats in the bottom panel. The columns display Time, Priority, Device Name, Type (type of the threat), SubType (picked up by which type of security service and WIDP), and Source (the source access point).

  

• When the Access Points tab is clicked, it lists the top access points by traffic. The top panel still displays the overview of your network and the access point status. Selecting the "Show All Access Points..." link navigates you to Network > Devices > Access Points page.

  

• The Clients tab lists the top client devices by traffic. Selecting the "Show All Clients..." link navigates you to Network > Devices > Clients page.



• The SSIDs bar lists the top SSIDs by traffic, along with the respective radio band.



• The Zones bar lists the top zones by traffic.



• The Fingerprints bar lists the client devices in your hierarchy with the operating system each one is using. In real time, it detects the connection of all client devices to your access points, and monitors their activity to display the top fingerprints by traffic.



• The Switches tab lists the top switches by traffic and port details. Selecting the "Show All Switches..." link navigates you to Network > Devices > Switches page.



• The Traffic of Ports bar lists the traffic history of the switch ports.



• The PoE of Switches lists the top switches based on their Power over Ethernet (PoE) consumption..
