Alerts

The Overview > Alerts feature provides detailed information about alerts detected in your network. You can find the Alerts section right below Dashboard on the navigation pane.

The infographics at the top of the Alert page display the category of the alerts based on severity like High, Medium, Low and Total. Click on these inforgraphics to further filter the alerts by severity.

The Alerts table shows information about Priority, Time, Device MAC/Name, Type, Subtype and Source. Also, you can expand the alert to view a detailed description of its criticality.

There are alerts generated to inform users of upcoming expirations of device annual subscription licenses. The type of alert is determined based on the remaining duration before the license expiration.

  • "Inform" alert 30 days before the expiration of the license.

  • "Warning" alert 15 days before the expiration of the license.

  • "Critical" alert after the expiration of the license.

To view Filter Alerts:

Click the filter icon to view the expanded filter options. The available filter options are as below:

You can specify the time period for alerts to display using the Time Slider tool next to filter icon, along with Date & Time picker.

Time Period Options:

  • Last Seconds: 60 Seconds

  • Last Minutes: 2/5/10/30/60 minutes

  • Last Hours: 3/6/12/24 hours.

  • Last Days: 7/15/30 days.

For the SonicWave devices with the monthly Essential License, alerts are displayed only for one week, while devices with Advanced License display alerts for one month. For a Switch with the monthly Essential License, alerts are displayed for one month.

Also, the right side of the page has filter options like Save Filter, Reset Filter, Export, Refresh and Columns. The Export option will only export the alerts data in Excel or PDF format.

The Alerts page provides an option at the bottom, where you can select the number of alerts displayed per page (e.g., 50/100/200). There is also an option to navigate through different pages.
