About Access Points and Switches Management

SonicWall Access Points and Switches Management is a cloud-based network management system that simplifies the deployment, management, and monitoring of Wi-Fi Access Points and secure Switches. The Access Points and Switches Management is fully integrated with Capture Security Center and Unified Management. Capture Security Center provides seamless integration with MySonicWall, Licensing, and the SonicExpress mobile app available on your mobile device. Unified Management is an centralized hub for managing all clients and provides administration capabilities for Access Points and Switches. The cloud-based infrastructure is user-friendly and resilient, making access, control, and troubleshooting easier. Access Points and Switches are deployed across multiple regions, and can be accessed from anywhere through an Internet connection.

The SonicWave access point devices in the access points network handle all aspects of authentication, association, fast and secure roaming, data forwarding, and power and channel management. Even if the Internet connection is lost, the Wi-Fi remains operational, so you can still reach critical network resources such as files, servers and databases.

Access Points and Switches can be managed through SonicWall Unified Management or as a standalone application via the Capture Security Center. When accessed through the Capture Security Center, Access Points and Switches Management will be referred as Wireless Network Manager.

All the screen shots used in this guide are from SonicWall Unified Management, however there is no difference in functionality or navigation for managing Access Points and Switches between Unified Management and Capture Security Center integrated management.
