Discovered APs

The RF Survey > Discovered APs page allows you to manually authorize, unauthorize, and acknowledge the access points using the Scan Result tab. In Access Points and Switches the acknowledged APs are considered as legitimate.

Scan Result for Access Points

The Discovered APs > Scan Result tab allows you to authorize and acknowledge an Access Point.

The Scan Results table displays the information about Device, SSID, Threat Type, MAC Address, Radio, Channel, Authentication, Cipher, Vendor, Signal Strength and Max Rate.

To authorize an access point

  1. Navigate to the Air Marshal > RF Survey page.
  2. Click Discovered APs.
  3. The Scan Result tab is displayed by default, listing the available Access Points.
  4. Hover over an Unauthorized Access Points and click on the Authorize icon visible on the right side to authorize it.
  5. In the Threat Type column, the access point now displays as Authorized.

To acknowledge an access point

  1. Navigate to the Air Marshal > RF Survey page.
  2. Click Discovered APs.
  3. Click on the Scan Result tab to view the list of available access points.
  4. Hover over an Unauthorized Access Points and click on the Acknowledge icon visible on the right side to acknowledge it.

To filter devices

Click the Filter icon to expand the filter section. The available filter options will be displayed below.

Next to the Filter icon, you can perform a text search to find matching devices. There is also a Refresh option for the Scan Result table on the right side.

Authorized & Acknowledged for Access Points

The Discovered APs > Authorized&Ackowledged tab allows you to unauthorize an Access Point.

To unauthorize an access point

  1. Navigate to the Air Marshal > RF Survey page.
  2. Click Discovered APs.
  3. Click on the Authorized&Acknowledged tab to view the listing of authorized Access Points.
  4. Hover over an Access Points to unauthorize, click on the Delete icon .
  5. In the Threat Type column, the access point now displays as Unauthorized.
  6. Select two or more checkboxes to unauthorize multiple devices at once.

  7. Click Delete.
