General Settings

The General settings for Internal Wireless provide the foundational configuration required to enable and manage the device’s wireless radio. These settings allow you to select the radio role, ensure compliance with regional regulatory requirements, and control access through MAC filtering. Use this section to establish the core operational parameters for your wireless deployment before configuring basic or advanced radio features.

To configure General Settings

  1. Navigate to DEVICE | Internal Wireless > Settings > General.
  2. In the Wireless Radio Role section, select Access Point as the Radio Role.
  3. In the Wireless Settings section,

    1. Turn on the Enable button to activate the wireless radio and apply the configured wireless settings.

    2. From the Country Code drop‑down menu, select the country where the appliance is used. The country code determines the regulatory domain that governs the radio operation.

  4. In the MAC Filter List section,

    1. From the Allow List drop-down menu, select the address group you want to allow: All MAC Addresses (default), Default ACL Allow Group, or a group you created.
    2. To create a new address group, select Create New MAC Address Object Group. For more information, refer to Creating a MAC Address Object Group.

    3. From the Deny List drop-down menu, select the address group you want to deny: No MAC Addresses (default), Default ACL Deny Group, or a group you created.
    4. To create a new address group, select Create New MAC Address Object Group. For more information, refer to Creating a MAC Address Object Group.

  5. Click Accept.
