5 GHz Radio Basic Settings

The 5 GHz Radio Basic settings allow you to configure the primary wireless parameters for the 5 GHz radio. These options control radio operation, channel behavior, and virtual access point assignment. Use this page to enable or disable the 5 GHz WLAN radio, manage DFS channel support, and select the virtual access point group associated with the radio.

To configure 5 GHz Radio Basic settings

1. Navigate to DEVICE | Internal Wireless > Settings > 5GHz Radio Basic.



2. In the Wireless Settings section,
   1. Turn on the Enable WLAN Radio button to provide clean wireless access for your mobile users.
   2. Turn on Enable DFS Channels button to allow wireless devices to share the 5 GHz spectrum with existing radar systems.
3. In the Wireless Virtual Access Point section, select the Virtual Access Point Group from the drop-down menu.
4. Click Accept.
