The Reporting Agent High Availability (HA) feature allows you to configure a secondary, passive Reporting Agent node alongside the primary node. This provides resilience for reporting and analytics data collection on NSM On-Premises deployments.
In Reporting Agent HA mode, a Virtual IP (VIP) is shared between the primary and secondary Reporting Agent nodes. If the primary node becomes unavailable, the secondary node assumes the active role. From the user perspective, HA configuration for a Reporting Agent follows the same steps as HA configuration for the NSM controller node.
Reporting Agent HA is distinct from NSM controller High Availability. NSM controller HA (System | Settings > High Availability) manages failover of the NSM application server itself. Reporting Agent HA manages failover of the reporting and analytics agent nodes only.
