Last Time Buy Announcement SonicWall TZ 270 and TZ 470 Firewall Appliance

Overview

SonicWall is initiating the Last Time Buy (LTB) notification for the SonicWall TZ270 and TZ470 Firewall Appliances.

Last Time Buy notification is the phase before the SonicWall End of Life process. During this phase, authorized SonicWall distributors can purchase these firewall models and related SKUs from SonicWall. After the LTB phase, which ends on 30th June 2026, the listed hardware appliance will transition to Last Day Order (LDO) before entering Active Retirement Mode.

Active Retirement Mode is the second phase of the SonicWall End-of-Life process which will be updated at a later point. TZ270 and TZ470 firewalls are eligible for upgrade to Gen8 TZ through the SonicWall Secure Upgrade Plus program.

Why is SonicWall Initiating Last Time Buy for the TZ270 & TZ470 Firewall Appliances?

TZ270 and TZ470 appliances were introduced in 2020. In August 2025, SonicWall launched TZ280 and TZ480. These Gen 8 replacement models deliver superior features and performance and are designed to keep businesses ahead of the threat landscape.

When Will These Changes Take Effect?

The Last Time Buy phase of the product lifecycle for TZ270 and TZ470 firewalls ends Tuesday, June 30th, 2026.

Last Time Buy (LTB) is the last opportunity to purchase SonicWall hardware before the start of the end-of-life process, which is about 20 days after the LTB announcement. This LTB announcement will be released on the Partner Portal by June 12, 2026. The duration of the LTB phase is variable and depends on numerous factors, including material availability, SonicWall's and channel inventory, and end-user demand. It is subject to change.

The Last Time Buy Announcement is informational only; products in this phase are still actively selling.
