Last Time Buy Announcement SonicWall NSv 270, NSv 470 and NSv 870 Virtual Firewall Appliances

Overview

SonicWall is initiating the Last Time Buy (LTB) notification for the SonicWall NSv 270, NSv 470 and NSv 870 Virtual Firewall Appliances. The Last Time Buy Notification is the phase preceding the SonicWall End of Life process. During this phase, authorized SonicWall distributors can purchase these firewall models and related SKUs from SonicWall.  After the LTB phase, which ends on 30th Oct 2026, the listed appliance will transition to Last Day Order (LDO) before entering Active Retirement Mode.

Active Retirement Mode is the second phase of the SonicWall End of Life process, which will be updated at a later point. NSv 270, NSv 470, and NSv 870 firewalls are eligible for upgrade to Gen8 NSv through the SonicWall Secure Upgrade Plus program.

Why is SonicWall initiating Last Time Buy for the NSv 270, NSv470 & NSv 870 Firewall appliances? 

NSv 270, NSv 470 and NSv 870 firewalls appliances were introduced in 2021. In Jul 2026, SonicWall launched NSv S, NSv M and NSv L. These Gen 8 replacement models deliver superior features and performance and are designed to keep businesses ahead of the threat landscape.

When will these changes take effect?

The Last Time Buy phase of the product lifecycle for NSv 270, NSv 470 and NSv 870 firewalls ends Oct 30th, 2026.

Last Time Buy (LTB) is the last opportunity to buy the product from SonicWall before the start of the end-of-life process, which is about 60 days from the LTB announcement. This LTB announcement will be updated on partner portal by Sep 4 2026.

The Last Time Buy Announcement is informational only; products in this phase are still actively selling.
