YouTube fails to play videos after adding to Allowed Domains list in CFS
Resolution
Resolution for SonicOS 7.X
This release includes significant user interface changes and many new features that are different from the SonicOS 6.5 and earlier firmware. The below resolution is for customers using SonicOS 7.X firmware.
After blocking Multimedia in CFS and adding YouTube.com to the Allowed Domains users cannot play YouTube Videos.
Resolution/Workaround
Because YouTube uses other external domains to provide video content you need to add these domains to the Allowed Domains list. Once these are added users should be able to watch videos on youtube.com.
1. google.com
2. ytimg.com
3. googlevideo.com
4. gstatic.com
5. googleusercontent.com
>Navigate to object | Match object | URI List | URI List object | Add
>Following dialogue box appears, Navigate to URI List Object | Add, for adding the respective domains
Alternatively, you can use App rules feature on the Sonicwall to block Multimedia and allow YouTube.

This release includes significant user interface changes and many new features that are different from the SonicOS 6.2 and earlier firmware. The below resolution is for customers using SonicOS 6.5 firmware.
