Wireless WifiSec Enforcement settings not visible in the WLAN Zone > Wireless tab
Wireless WifiSec Enforcement settings not visible in the WLAN Zone > Wireless tab.
Resolution or Workaround:
SonicOS Enhanced firmware 126.96.36.199 onwards the WifiSec Enforcement settings are not available on the WLAN Zone > Wireless tab, these settings are hidden and have to be enabled from the diag.html page (Eg: 192.168.168.168/diag.html).
Procedure to enable WifiSec Enforcment Settings:
Step 1: Login to SonicWall Management Interface. Step 2: On the browser's address bar to access the hidden diag.html page change the URL to <SonicWall Management IP/diag.html> Step 3: Click on Internal Settings button and navigate to Wireless Settings section Step 4: Enable the checkbox "Legacy WiFiSec Enforcement support".
Step 5: Click on "Accept" button in top of the page to save the changes. Step 6: Click on "Close" button to go back to SonicWall Management Interface again. Step 7: Navigate to Network > Zones > WLAN Properties > Wireless tab to view the WifiSec enforcement settings.
Note: IF you enable WifiSec Enforcement Feature all Wireless clients connecting to SonicWall wireless should mandatorily use GVC software. It is recommended to disable this feature if you using other Wireless Protocols (eg: WEP, WPA, etc...).
Alert: you may also see the error" Packet dropped by WLAN vpn traversal check" in the sonicwall logs.
