User with admin privileges unable to login using SonicOS API - SonicWall UTM

Description

Issue: Multiple users using admin privileges configured, and these users are unable to login over API

This issue is seen in GEN7 devices only.

Resolution

This article presumes you have a working SonicOS API. The only issue is getting multiple admin roles to work. 
Local users with admin privileges are able to log in via browser but not via API calls.
  1. Check if Multiple admin login is enabled on the SonicWall
    Navigate to Devices | Settings | Administration | Local/Multiple Administrators
    Enable "Multiple Admin Roles" under Multiple Administrator

  2. Enable the option to log in to management UI
    Navigate to Devices | Users | Local Users & Groups | Local groups > Administration 
    Enable the option that says "Members go straight to the management UI on web login"
