When trying to register GMS with a valid serial and receiving error " This serial is already activated with this installation."
Cause
The serial number is in a different account on MySonicWall.com and/or that the account, being used to register the serial, does not have permissions to the product group that GMS serial belongs to.
Resolution
One of the following will resolve your issue:
- Use the Current Owner's MySonicWall.com account to register the GMS
- Request from Serial Number owner for permissions to that Product Group on MySonicWall.com
- Request transfer of Serial Number from current owner to a new account on MySonicWall.com
- Contact Customer Support to get the GMS Serial moved to that specific account
Note: The GMS serial number should be located in the account that also contains the SonicWall serials of the device that are going to be managed by this system.
