When trying to import a license file on a VA appliance, getting error “the license file you attempted to import is for a different appliance”
Removing the license file on a box to make it default
/usr/local/app/mgmt-server/datastore/active/nodeconf# rm license.xml
/usr/local/app/mgmt-server/datastore/pending/nodeconf# rm license.xml
Reboot appliance and reimport license file
The issue was with mysonicwall.com and has been fixed.
Follow the steps to remove existing licensing and the new license file import should work
