Syslogs are being deleted by GMS when disk space is lower than 10%

Description

Syslogs are being deleted by GMS when disk space is lower than 10%

Resolution

Problem Definition:

After upgrading to GMS version 7.2 and SP 1 syslogs are being deleted by GMS when free disk space is less than 10%. The problem is that free disk space could be 100, 200 or more GB if disk is really large. Syslogs needs to be kept for example for 12 month so there is no option to reduce number of them.

Workaround:

There two possible workaround for this issue:

Workaround 1: Use Auto_Export tool to export logs

It could be downloaded from Appliance Interface of GMS and then System>Backup/Restore>Download Auto Export Tool

Auto Export is a tool set to help users offload system backup and reporting data from a UMA system.
The tool set consists of two components - a swing-based wizard to create/edit configurations and a standalone Java client to utilize web services on the UMA system to offload data based on configurations.

After extracting the archive instruction could be found in "README" file in main folder.

Workaround 2:

Manually move some syslogs files (oldest ones) from GMSVP>syslogs>Archived Syslogs folder to another drive - it will reduce disk usage and free disk space will increase.
