Syslog based Analytics showing firewalls down

Description

If the firewalls are with status down on the Analytics, follow this guide and if after all the steps, the status is still down, try to restart the Analytics server and if the issue persists, contact the SonicWall Technical Support to get the assistance as soon as possible.

Resolution

  1. Log into the SonicWall.
  2. Navigate to  Device| Log| Settings 
  3. Set the Logging Level to Inform/Alert and click on the Template button and select the "Import from Template" option.Image
  4. Select the "Analyzer ViewPoint - GMS" option and click on the Import:

  5. Navigate to Device| Log| Syslog | Syslog Servers and edit the server created for the Analytics Server:Image
  6. Select the "Default" option and click on the "Save" button:

  7. Navigate to Device | Licenses and use the Synchronize button:Image
  8. Navigate to Device | AppFlow | AppFlow Agent and make sure the options "Enable Real-Time Data Collection" and "Enable Aggregate AppFlow Report Data Collection" are enabled:Image
