SRA/SMB SSL-VPN: How to change SRA appliance settings to use only RC4-SHA encryption

Resolution

 

Feature/Application:

This article describes how to change SRA appliance settings to use only RC4-SHA encryption.

Procedure:

Step 1. Access SRA but instead of instead of "management" it should have "diag" (for example when device has an IP address 192.168.5.101 go to https://192.168.5.101/cgi-bin/diag)

Step 2. Then click on "Internal Settings".

Step 3.
Check
"Use only RC4-SHA Cipher for SSL Transactions" option to force SRA to use only Rc4-SHA encryption and click on "Accept" button in top-right corner.

Note: This option should be used only
by security aware system administrators or after consulting SonicWall Technical Support as it can make SRA unit vulnerable to man-in-the-middle attacks.
