DESCRIPTION: SMB SSL-VPN: Can We Restrict Access to SSL VPN Appliance For a Group of Users OR a Range of IP Addresses?
Can We Restrict access to SSL VPN appliance for a group of users or range of IP addresses?
We can restrict specific user login to SSL VPN appliance via "Login Policies" tab. Steps to configure the same are listed below:
Step 1 Navigate to the Users > Local Users page. Step 2 Click the configure icon for the user you want to configure. The Edit User Settings dialog box is displayed. Step 3 Click the Login Policies tab. The Edit User Settings - Login Policies tab is displayed. Step 4 To block the specified user from logging into the appliance, select the Disable login checkbox.
Currently we do not have "Login Policies" tab under Global policies or Groups. Thus the SonicWall SSL VPN appliance does NOT support blocking access to the appliance for a group of users.
However, we have filed an Enhancement request for the same. Engineering will try to introduce this feature in either of our upcoming releases.
