SMA 1000 Series: How to find appliance firmware version from Appliance Management Console (AMC)?

How to find appliance firmware version from AMC?

Resolution/Workaround:

There are three ways to find the firmware version of a Secure Mobile Access (SMA) VPN appliance:

1. Check the version given at the bottom left of all pages in AMC as shown below:

2.  On the Dashboard screen, displayed at login, the firmware version is on the right side under System Information and at the bottom left of the screen.

Return to the Dashboard from any AMC screen by clicking on the SonicWALL on the top left corner. 

3.  The version is displayed in the Maintenance tab near the top of the page.

In both the Maintenance and the Dashboard screen shots above note the link ‘Hotfixes’. Firmware is improved, and issues resolved, by patching the system using hotfixes. The hotfixes installed are an important component of the firmware version when speaking with support. These hotfixes links pop up a window displaying the hotfixes installed. See below:
