SMA 100 Series Logging: Storage and Rotation

Description

Secure Mobile Access 100 Series Logging
- All logs are cleared when the Secure Mobile Access 100 series appliance is rebooted
- The SMA 100 appliance storage is limited and logging is limited to 200K
- The appliance checks the size of the log every 30 minutes
- When the log reaches 200K it will overwrite the oldest records while it continues to append to the log
- It is recommended you configure logging to "Send when full" to an email address or distribution list

Specify an external SYSLOG server
- Browse to your SMA Appliance / Log / Settings / Syslog Settings
- Enter your SYSLOG server IP address and port number
- Save the settings and all logs will be sent to your SYSLOG server
