Should I Install a Hotfix Even If Everything Is Running Fine?

A hotfix bundle will be released quarterly and will be available from your customer portal.
My appliance is running a current (or still supported) version of the Aventail software. Everything seems to be working fine, with no known issues, complaints, or problems—but I see a lot of recommended hotfixes for my version. Should I install them?
The short answer is, “Yes, they should be installed.” In general there is no harm in installing any of the hotfixes, which are fixes released ahead of the next full release. If you aren't seeing any critical or pressing need, you can always wait until the next release before you upgrade. However, if something comes up that requires development intervention, we'll need the up-to-date hotfixes installed in order for development to review the issue—the latest hotfix version always reflects what we consider “production code” for the appliance.
