Q. Why is SonicWall announcing the LTB for SMA100 Series?
A. SonicWall is announcing the LTB for SMA100 Series as a first step in its plan to retire the product line. The Last Time Buy notification serves as notice of SonicWall’s intent to stop selling SMA210, SMA410 & SMA500v appliances and ending support for existing devices in the field.
Q. Does this notice affect SMA1000 series appliances (SMA6210, SMA7210, SMA8200v)?
A. No, SMA1000 is not affected in any way by this notice. SonicWall has no plans to retire the SMA1000 product line, rather we will continue to develop, enhance, and support this product for the foreseeable future.
Q. What is the timeline for retiring SMA100 Series and where can I find out more information relating to the process?

Q. Can I still order SMA100 series hardware, including SMA210 & SMA410?
A. Yes, SMA100 series hardware, including SMA210 & SMA410 appliances are active products and will continue to sell until inventory is depleted. We expect to run out of inventory to prior to the Last Order Day (LOD), therefore customers wishing to purchase SMA100 hardware leading up to the LOD should do so at their earliest convenience.
Q. Can I still order SMA500 series virtual appliances?
A. Yes, as SMA500v appliances are not subjected to availability of inventory, they will be available for purchase throughout the duration of the LTB phase.
Q. I currently have an active SMA100 appliance with support extending beyond the EOS date noted on the SonicWall Product Life Cycle Tables page. Will my product continue to be supported after this date has been reached?
A. SonicWall will be unable to support SMA100 appliances beyond the EOS date, therefore please engage your sales representative to discuss options.
Q. What alternative solutions does SonicWall offer for remote access?
