Restricted functionalities and some features are not working on PlayStation when it is connected through a SonicWall. Some of the issues observed were related to voice chats, parties, etc.
The PlayStation shows an error regarding NATv3 - Playstation only supports NATv2.
PlayStation does not accept Source Port Remap which is a security measure used by the SonicWall.
To fix this, you can create a specific NAT Policy for the PlayStation IP Address.
NOTE: You will need to assign a Static IP Address to the PlayStation using a Static DHCP Entry in Network | DHCP Server.
- Go to Network | NAT Policies
- Create the following NAT Policy by clicking Add:
NOTE: Here we used X1 as outbound interface but you need to specify your default WAN Interface.
- Go to the Advanced tab and check "Disable Source Port Remap"
CAUTION: Make sure this custom policy has higher priority than the default outbound NAT Policy.
Now, the PlayStation will detect NATv2 and all the features will be available.
