PPPoE Connection not established when IPv6 enabled by ISP on 5.9
03/26/2020 4 8152
When ISP enables both IPv6 and IPv4 servers for PPPoE Connection, on Gen 5 device with firmware versions 5.9 the PPPoE connection does not go up neither with IPv4 or IPv6.
This happens because firmware releases 5.9.x supports IPv6 PPPoE connections, so when ISP enables both IPv4 and Ipv6 servers the SonicWall always try to take the IPv6 address ignoring it. Unfortunately sometimes the PPPoE Server denies SonicWall EUID.
A HotFix Firmware is available in order to address this issue.
