My SonicWall firewall is in Japanese language after firmware upgrade.

My firewall is in Japanese or Chinese language after firmware upgrade. 

This issue can occur after a firmware upgrade, where an incorrect firmware file is used.

The ‘’bin.sig’’ file shown below is Japanese.

NOTE: Manually changing the language to English will NOT resolve the issue.

Device Setting | Administration |  LANGUAGE | Selection English 

In order to go back to the original language, you will need upload the correct firmware to the firewall. 

• Download the correct firmware files from MySonicWall, you should filter Language ‘’English’’, or download the last firmware for the Product.
• Or download the correct firmware from MySonicwall |  Product |  Firewall serial number |Firmware.
