S1 Windows Agent v184.108.40.206 is known to cause issues with the use of Virtual Shadowcopy Services (VSS) and will interfere with some backup applications like Veeam. To address this issue, SentinelOne released S1 Windows Agent v220.127.116.11. However, in certain circumstances, there have been observed upgrade issues from 18.104.22.168 to 22.214.171.124. For this purpose, SonicWall is only releasing support for a Self-managed version of the S1 Windows Agent 126.96.36.199.
We recommend that cutomers who would like to upgrade to S1 Windows Agent v188.8.131.52 from v184.108.40.206 follow below steps:
Manually uninstall Capture Client, along with the S1 Agent 220.127.116.11
Reconfigure your Threat Protection policy (or Client Policy in CC 3.5) to use the Self Managed version of S1 Windows Agent 18.104.22.168
Reinstall Capture Client which will trigger the auto-download and installation of the S1 Agent
Since this is a fresh install (vs an upgrade), you will need to reboot the endpoint to enable the Behavioral engine
