Blocking a subdomain with CFS 4.0

Description

This article describes the steps to block a specific path of a website or domain while allowing the access to the main website and other subdomains.

This a new feature included with the new CFS.

Resolution

  1. Create a URI List Object from Firewall | Content Filter Objects as following:

  • From the CFS Profile Object configuration, select Forbidden URI list First as URI List Searching Order.

Image TIP: If the category of CNN is not blocked, there is no need to create the ALLOW CNN Object.

NOTE: For the feature to work with HTTPS Websites it is necessary to have Client DPI-SSL enabled.
