How to delete a Capture Client from the MySonicWall portal

Description

This article will provide step by step instructions on how to delete a decommissioned capture client serial number on the MySonicWall portal  

Resolution

NOTE: Before deleting the capture client serial number on the MySonicWall account the endpoints or agents need to be uninstalled

Here is the KB link on how to Uninstall capture client endpoints

  1.  Log on to www.MySonicWall.com
  2. Navigate to Product Management|My Products
  3. Select the Capture client serial number that you are looking to delete
  4. Select the Delete products to delete the serial number 
  5. Select the reason for deleting the serial number from the dropdown

    • (If the serial number is not in use anymore the customers can select the option Decommissioned)
    • (If you had received a refund for the capture client key and want to delete the generated serial number select option returned)
    • (If upgraded to a higher version of capture client from basic to advanced or from advanced to premier select the option upgraded to newer SonicWall)
    • (If you had replaced with other endpoint solutions apart from SonicWall you can select Replaced with non-SonicWall solution)

    • (If any other reasons other than the above reasons select other (Please specify)
  6. Once the serial number is deleted the below pop will appear     Image

  • Activation key
  • Or the capture client serial number that needs to be delete
  • Deletion reason
  • The deletion request should come from the registered MySonicWall account email address where the capture client serial number is registered
