Issues accessing Tally application with CFS

Description

When accessing the Tally application on devices in the local network behind the firewall, latency or errors are faced.

On disabling CFS, the application works seamlessly.

Resolution

Resolution for SonicOS 7.X

This release includes significant user interface changes and many new features that are different from the SonicOS 6.5 and earlier firmware. The below resolution is for customers using SonicOS 7.X firmware.

  1. Make sure the URLs/domains for the Tally application are added to the allowed URI list for the CFS profile
    Login to the firewall.
    Navigate to Object | Match Object | URI Lists. Add the URIs mentioned below in the allowed URI list. If an existing URI list is not present, you can create one by clicking on the Add icon.
    Navigate to Object | Profile Objects | Content filter. Add a new CF if not already created. Else edit the existing CFS profile and choose the URI list mentioned in the above step in the allowed URI list field.
  2. If you are still facing issues after adding the URL/domains, disable the ‘Enforce Host Tag Search for CFS’ option from the diag page. You can access the diag page by following the article below.

  1. Make sure the URLs/domains for tally are added to the allowed URI list for the CFS profile
